Please note that while many extended health benefit plans in Canada do reimburse for counselling services provided by Registered Therapeutic Counsellors (RTC/RTC-C) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT), coverage can vary depending on your province of residence and specific insurance provider.

At this time, some insurance companies may not offer reimbursement for RTCs in Ontario or Alberta, as counselling regulations and recognized designations differ by province. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to confirm whether services offered under ACCT membership are eligible for reimbursement based on your location.
