Insurance Coverage for Counselling Services
What to Know:
Haven Heights does not offer direct billing to insurance providers.
However, we can provide detailed receipts that you can use to submit your claim for reimbursement. Please reach out with any questions, we’re happy to work with you.
Please note that while many extended health benefit plans in Canada do reimburse for counselling services provided by Registered Therapeutic Counsellors (RTC/RTC-C) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT), coverage varies depending on province of residence and specific insurance provider.
At this time, select insurance companies may not offer reimbursement for RTCs in Ontario or Alberta, as counselling regulations and recognized designations differ by province.
Haven Heights encourages you to contact your insurance provider directly to confirm whether services offered under ACCT membership are eligible for reimbursement based on your location.
